South London - Yvonne Line
Hi, I’m Yvonne. I’m thrilled to be joining the Millie’s Trust team. I was first contacted by Dan in response to my Twitter bio: “Living the dream: Married to a Firefighter, Mum to two gorgeous boys, Work as a freelance First aid trainer. Loving life.” It says it all!
I’ve spent the last six years with the Metropolitan Police Service, and though I loved it after having our second son and trying to juggle life with two amazing kids and my husband’s London Fire Brigade shifts, we took the leap into the world of freelance First Aid training. I’ve been teaching First Aid on a voluntary basis for over eight years and received expert training from some incredible people in the Police and the Army Cadet Force. Since having our boys, Connor aged 4 and Aaron aged 1, my passion for teaching Paediatric and Family First Aid has grown, in turn so have the examples I share with students of their bumps and bruises and occasional life threatening emergencies.
Millie’s Trust is an incredible example of an inspiring couple who despite the worst of all nightmares turned around and decided to change the world, one nursery at a time! I am thrilled to be representing the charity in the South London area and to share my knowledge and experience with parents, grandparents, those in the industry and anyone who is keen to learn how to save a life and make a difference to those around them.
