STOCKPORT GIN TO HOST VIRTUAL TASTER NIGHT FOR LOCAL CHARITY
Stockport Gin have recently announced they are bringing back their popular Virtual Taster Nights and this time they are raising funds for a local charity.
Stockport Gin, run by husband and wife Paul and Cheryl from their home distillery in Stockport, have recently announced that they are bringing back their popular Virtual Taster Nights, and the next one will be raising funds for a local charity.
During lockdown in April, May and June, the couple hosted virtual taster nights from their front room. They sold packs on their website which included 3 gins, 3 tonics, garnishes and a personal invite to the event that was hosted live on Facebook in a private group.
Cheryl says, “We initially thought we would hold a virtual taster night to give us something to do, as well as others, whilst we were all in lockdown. Once we did one and word got out, we were inundated with requests to do more so we ended up doing them every fortnight! In the end we hosted our events to well over 1000 people!”
When restrictions of lockdown began to ease and people were able to go out again, the couple brought an end to the nights but have now recently announced they are back!
On Friday 25th September, Stockport Gin are once again hosting another Virtual Taster Night from their front room. The difference this time is that it includes 4 gins, as they have recently launched a new Pink Grapefruit and Pink Peppercorn gin, and a donation from each ticket sold will be sent to Millie’s Trust, a local Stockport charity who specialise in providing training for paediatric care and first aid.
Paul says, “This time last year we partnered with Millie’s Trust with the aim of raising as much money as we could for them over the following 12 months. With that partnership now coming to an end, we put our heads together and came up with the idea of hosting another taster night that could raise them some more money and to celebrate the year we have had together.”
Tickets for the event are priced at £30 each and includes 4 x 50cl gins from the Stockport Gin range, 4 tonics, the evening’s entertainment live on Facebook and £5 from each ticket sold will be donated to Millie’s Trust.
Tickets are available now from the Stockport Gin website!
